The name ‘Kawana’ symbolically stands for the power of corporations in a dystopian world. Ryuchi Kanawa is the figurehead of a japanese high-tech company which competes for the control of the Pacific Rim. With unemotional calculus, he organises a brutal campaign against all humans, who are infected with a mysterious virus. Who gets infected, becomes a ‘Jiang Shi 僵尸 ‘ – a vampire. But what goal Ryuchi is pursuing, remains a secret so far. Is he a hero, who protects the cosm of Core Earth from a vampire invasion? Or is he perhaps a High Lord, who uses the predominance of the Kawana Group to undermine the power of the other countries? Or is he simply the marionette of his twin sister?

The World of Torg
